AN OVERVIEW A WOMEN OF CHILD BEARING AGE  KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EARLY DETECTION  OF CERVICAAL CANCER BY PAP SMEAR EXAMINATION IN PUSKESMAS SINGKAWANG TENGAH IN 2016

Cervical cancer is one of the cancer that attaked women most frequently around the world.  According to the World Health Organization (WHO), this kindof cancer got a second place as a cancer that infected the women. Such as quoted from the official site of the WHO. More than 250.000 women have died from the cervical cancer in the year 2005, and the most which accured happen in the developping countries (RI Kemkes 2015). Trought  the early detection program and vaccination can be done to prevent. The cervical cancer, in developing countries the incidence of cervical ccanceer have been decreated thanks to the early detection program through Pap Smear (Rasjidi, 2009). The purpose of thip research is to know ledge about the early detection of the cervical cancer by examination with Pap Smear in Puskesmas Singkawang Tengah I in year 2016.
This design research methode using a descriptive approach to the survey. The population in this research is a prediction of the number of visits all women age the Pusekesmas Singkawang Tengah I as much as 219 people, aged 15-49 years to visits Puskesmas Singkawang Tengah I on months april 2016. Sample taken with purpose sampling methods loyals much as 69 respondent. The vartable in this study is a single variable and used univariate analysis.  The result of research that has been done with using the questionnaire of the 69 respondent obtained the results that knowledge of respondents about the early detectoin of cervical cancer with Pap Smear examination must respondents found good as many as 39 respondents (57%) categories, quite as much as 25 respondents(36%), and less requirement of as much as 5 respondents(7%). The conclusions of this research is a fertile women agel level of know ledge about aerly detection of cervical cancer with Pap Smear examinations as Puskesmas Singkawang Tengah I year 2016 most respondents in the category of good that is as much as 39 respondents (57%). It is expected that the goverment disseminate information about cervical cancer and Pap Smear examination in various media that is earily obtained by the public. As well as the conducts an examination of Pap Smear aery and chep, with facilities and infastructure that are easily accesible and adequate.
